The authors are former naval officers whose research and teaching build on their experiences in the Navy and have a mission “to help men become more effective allies with women and more inclusive leaders in the workplace.” They provide good explanations of the challenges women face, and then more importantly, how men can partner with female colleagues to advance women’s leadership and equality.

My only disappointment is that don’t point out that women often display as much unconscious bias as men do. They do emphasize that is senior men who must use their respect and privilege to take actions to address and reduce these biases.
